01 · Non-discrimination
Protected characteristics
Avalon Web Services prohibits discrimination, harassment, and retaliation in employment, contracting, and partnership decisions on the basis of:
- Race, color, ethnicity, or national origin
- Religion, creed, or absence of religious affiliation
- Sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression
- Age
- Physical or mental disability
- Genetic information
- Marital, civil-union, or family status
- Veteran or uniformed-service status, including disabled and recently separated veterans
- Citizenship status, where work authorization permits employment
- Any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law
This policy applies to recruiting, hiring, compensation, promotion, training, discipline, termination, subcontractor selection, supplier diversity, and every customer-facing interaction Avalon's team has on behalf of the firm.
02 · Federal contracting
Affirmative-action posture
When Avalon participates in federal-supply-chain engagements subject to Executive Order 11246, Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act, or the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we honor the affirmative-action obligations those authorities impose. Avalon does not currently meet the contractor headcount or dollar thresholds that trigger a written affirmative-action program; we maintain this non-discrimination policy as our equivalent published commitment.
03 · Accommodation
Reasonable accommodation
Avalon provides reasonable accommodation for qualified applicants, employees, and engagement participants with disabilities, sincerely-held religious practices, and pregnancy or related medical conditions, unless doing so would impose an undue hardship on the operation of the business.
To request an accommodation in a hiring process, an active engagement, or a customer-facing meeting, email sales@avalonweb.services with the nature of the accommodation needed. We respond within two business days.
04 · Reporting
How to report a concern
If you believe a member of the Avalon team has acted contrary to this policy — as an applicant, current contractor, employee, customer, vendor, or member of the public — email sales@avalonweb.services. Reports may be made anonymously; named reports are kept confidential to the maximum extent consistent with a fair investigation. Avalon does not retaliate against any person who reports a concern in good faith.
